LJUBLJANA, Feb 16 (Hina) - The airport area of Portoroz is still
blocked and road to Slovene-Italian border is closed after the
American F-16 airplane crash landed this morning. Joint commission
of Slovene police, Defence Ministry and American experts from
Aviano air-base in Italy is now investigating the accident. Slovene
police sources says that airplane has come from direction of Umag
in Croatia, and Defence Ministry reports that pilot has got
permission to enter Slovene air space because of mechanical
failure.
During crash landing the airplane strike against runway verge
but pilot was not wounded. Slovene radio reported that the pilot
throw into the sea two rockets before crash landing.
