ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - A group of 14 Serbian journalists, mostly
members of the Independent Union of Journalists of Serbia, on
Monday arrived in Zagreb to meet with Croatian colleagues. The
visit was organised by the Zagreb-based Association of Free
Journalists, the Croatian Society of Journalists and the State
Committee on Normalisation of Croatian-Serbian Relations. The
Croatian and Serbian journalists yesterday held a panel on the
normalisation of Croatian-Serbian relations, focused on what
journalists could do to break the media blockade.
The Serb journalists will meet with Croatian Parliament
Speaker Stipe Mesic on Monday. They are to visit the predominantly
Serb villages in the Gorski Kotar area (mountainous area north of
the Adriatic port of Rijeka) on Wednesday and Pakrac and Lipik
(western Slavonia) on Thursday.
