SPLIT, Jan 6 (Hina) - "Nowhere in the world have I seen refugees
and displaced persons receiving such attention and care as in
Croatia," Dr Anne Dawson-Sheptherd, head of the regional UNHCR
office in Split, told Hina on Thursday. She is leaving after
completing a one-year term of office.
"I'm glad that Bosnian Moslem-Croat clashes did not affect the
attitude of the Croatian authorities towards Moslem refugees.
What's more, Croatia keeps taking them in and caring for them,"
said Mrs Sheptherd.
