ZAGREB, Jan 2 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament in 1993 adopted 162
laws, told Hina Stipe Mesic, President of the Croatian Parliament.
The most important are the Law on state administration system as
well as a several laws on local self-government. Mesic is also
pointing on basic economy laws like the Law of commercial societies
and the Banks and saving-banks law. Croatian Parliament also
adopted laws that regulates tax system.
President Mesic is satisfied with Croatian Parliaments work in the
past year, especially with democratic atmosphere. He also stressed
on very good cooperation with other states parliaments as well as
with European Council, European Parliament and Inter parliamentary
Union.
President Mesic thinks that opposition in Croatian Parliament have
an adequate role in keeping with election results.
According to his words cooperation of Parliament and Government is
well, although there were some different approach to various
questions.
