ZAGREB, May 31 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's House of
Representatives today postponed further discussion on amendments to
the Amnesty Act until the Internal Policy and National Security
Committee took a stand on the issue.
The House took a recess to allow time for the Committee to
hold a session.
It was proposed that the Amnesty Act be applied to criminal
acts committed in the war against Croatia in a period between
August 17, 1990 and May 10 this year.
During debate, deputies stressed that the Amnesty Act was
disputable from the constitutional and legal point of view.
Most of the deputies were reserved about the amendments.
