GENEVA, May 26 (Hina) - International Committee of the Red Cross
was deeply shocked at the latest events in Bosnia-Herzegovina
when several dozen civilians were wounded or killed, a statement
from the ICRC said today.
Tuzla was bombed, a hospital near Doboj was bombed, heavy
fighting was going on in the 'corridor' near Brcko, in the
southern part of the Bihac pocket and in Gorazde and Srebrenica.
All this endangered lives of thousands of civilians, the
ICRC said.
The ICRC called on all warring sides to respect the Geneva
Convention.
It stressed the need to spare civilians, means needed for
their survival, lives of war prisoners and to enable ICRC
officials to move freely on the ground.
