KUTINA, May 8 (Hina) - In Kutina a Croatian minister and the head
of the Croatian Government's office for displaced persons and
refugees, Adalbert Rebic, Monday met 160 evacuated people, mostly
of Serb nationality, from western Slavonia.
The evacuated people were accommodated in 'Kutina' hotel and
the town's junior dormitory during the Croatian police limited
action in western Slavonia.
"You will go home in a few days as soon as the security
condition allows such move," Rebic told the evacuated people.
Most of these persons are the elderly people and they will
receive pension and other bonuses and help from the Croatian
state, according to Rebic.
On Monday Rebic also visited Serbs and Croats from the
liberated area, now accommodated in Nova Gradiska.
He toured the refugee camp of Kovacevac. In the gymnasium of a
Nova Gradiska high schools there are at the moment 189 persons from
the liberated areas, whereas 98 people have found shelter with
families in Nova Gradiska, and 36 persons have returned to Okucani.
