BOSNIAN FEDERATION'S VICE PRESIDENT GANIC VISITS LIVNO

LIVNO, May 7 (Hina) - Vice President of Federation of Bosnia- Herzegovina, Ejup Ganic, visited Livno, southwestern Bosnia last night. Vice President was accompanied by the secretary-general of the ruling Moslem Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Mirsad Ceman, and by special representatives for the implementation of the Federation's Constitution, Josip Silic and Salko Bebo, who were entitled by Federation's President, Kresimir Zubak. Upon the arrival in Livno Ganic addressed many Bosniacs- Moslems who gathered in front of 'Milosnik' Mosque to welcome the Federation's Vice President and one of the SDA leaders. Ganic was informed of the Moslems' position in Livno at a session with the local SDA representatives. After that Ganic attended a meeting in the municipality's townhall, where Herzeg-Bosnian vice premier Perica Jukic, and Livno civilian, military and political officials were also present. The meeting emphasized that the implementation of the Bosnian Federation's Constitution was progressing in the area. After his visit to Livno Ganic told a Hina correspondent that the aim of his tour to that southwestern Bosnian municipality was the creation of the equal conditions for the life of both Croats and Bosniacs-Moslems in the Federation. Ganic said Bosniacs-Moslems opted for a strategical union with Croats in the building of the Bosnian Federation despite some difficulty. He stressed that joint interests of the Croatian and Moslem- Bosniac nations, showed that the cooperation was necessary. "We are making some sort of balance in this part of the world, and the international community demands this from us," he said.
