PAKRAC, April 11 (Hina) - A spokeswoman for UN in the former UNPA
Sector West, Susan Manuel, held a press conference in Pakrac on
Tuesday.
Commenting on a decision made by the self-styled Serb assembly
in the occupied Okucani town on Monday to suspend all works on the
Zagreb-Tovarnik railway line section in the occupied area Manuel
said Serbs did not want to work any more until they could see how
UN Security Council 981 would be implemented.
Serbs in Okucani asked some concessions about the Highway in
order that they would continue works on the railway line. But
Manuel did not know exactly which concessions they wanted to be
granted. She believed that they would probably ask to be let to
assume a greater control of traffic along the Zagreb-Lipovac
Highway.
Manuel described the military situation in the area as very
stable, even more stable than in other three former Sectors.
