ZAGREB, April 10 (Hina) - The delivery of Russian gas to Croatia
has been canceled, the public relations office of Croatian INA oil
corporation reported today, saying in a statement that their
Russian partner, GAS PROM Corp, had canceled the delivery due to
unpaid debt.
The INA officials explained that, considering the situation
with its debit claims, the corporation hasn't been able to pay for
the gas already delivered in the first two months this year. They
were forced to reduce the delivery to all partners, whose debts
weren't settled yet, including the state-owned firms.
GAS PROM has delivered 173 million cubic metres of gas to INA,
during first three months of the year. Total debt for January and
February amounted $ 9.9 million.
