MOSTAR, April 10 (Hina) - The Bosnian Army headquarters today sent
a statement to Bosnian Federation President and the Herzeg-Bosnian
leader, Kresimir Zubak, referring to the affair of the vanished
Bosnian Croat general and the Bihac Croatian Defence Council (HVO)
commander, Vlado Santic. The statement was sent in response to
repeated requests of Bosnian Croats leaders to Bosnian Army
officials to cast more light into the Santic case, the Herzeg-
Bosnian presidential council said on Monday.
The statement said that pre-trial investigation and criminal
action had be taken against Jasmin Topal, Ramiz Bajramovic and
Ramiz Ruzdic, suspects for the murder of General Santic.
They have been detained in custody since March 15, 1995, in
line with the ruling of the Bihac district military court.
All three suspects are members of the Bosnian Army's 502
"Glorious Brigade (Slavna Brigada)" military police.
The facts already discovered during the investigation should
not be published for the time being because of the inquiry's
success, according to the statement.
