SERB ATTACKS ON BIHAC CONTINUE UNABATED

BIHAC, April 6 (Hina) - Bosnian and Croatian Serb forces were shelling the Bihac safe area, northwestern Bosnia, all day today, the Bihac press agency said this evening. Bihac town was hit by 14 howitzer and tank shells, the agency said, adding that the attack caused an unspecified number of civilian casualties. Serb long-range artillery stationed on Mount Pljesevica in neighbouring Croatia pounded Bosnian army Fifth Corps and Croat Defence Council (HVO) positions and the attacks continued into the evening. The agency said that Bihac defenders repelled all the attacks. Serb forces and renegade Moslem troops continued joint attacks on Bosnian army positions in the Velika Kladusa area, the source said.
