KRUNOSLAV OLUJIC PROPOSED TO BE PRESIDENT OF CROAT SUPREME COURT

ZAGREB, April 4 (Hina) - The Croatian Government today held a session, under chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikica Valentic, and decided to propose Krunoslav Olujic to the State Judicial Council for the president of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia, the Government's press office said on Tuesday. According to this decision, the procedure of the appointing will be carry out without publishing the vacant position and not following the procedure provided for in the article 17 of the law on the State Judicial Council. The decision took effect immediately. Krunoslav Olujic was born in 1952 in Derventa, (Bosnian Posavina, north Bosnia). At the 1992 elections Olujic was elected as a deputy to the Croatian Parliament Parliament's House of Representatives. In 1993 he was appointed to be the State Attorney of the Republic of Croatia by the decision of the House of Representatives, and in 1994 he was elected to be a member of the State Judicial Council. Since October, 1994 Olujic has been the National Security Office's chief by the decision of Croatian President. (hina) jn mms 041732 MET apr 95
