MOSTAR, March 25 (Hina) - The House of Representatives of Herzeg-
Bosnia (part of Bosnia-Herzegovina under HVO control) today
called on the Bosnian Federal Government to set up an ad-hoc
commission to investigate the disappearance of Bihac-based HVO
general Vlado Santic.
The Commission is to report on its findings in 15 days at
the latest, the House decreed. Otherwise, international
arbitration would be sought.
"Conclusions" adopted today stressed Gen. Santic's merits in
defending Bihac and saving the lives of several thousand refugees
from Slunj.
"We are disgusted at the way this crime is being trivialised
and described as a mere cafe brawl by some mebers of the Moslem
military and political elite, who we hold mostly responsible for
this abduction," the Conclusions said.
The House was concerned that such crimes showed the general
off-the-cuff attitude of some Moslem leaders to Croats and their
leaders, which bode ill for the future of the Bosnian Federation.
The House also feared for the Croatian community in Bihac
and decided to send a delegation there.
"The House of Representatives will keep abreast of
developments and take appropriate measures," the Conclusions
said.
