SARAJEVO, March 25 (Hina) - Control points under Bosnian
Government and Bosnian Serb control are closed, UNPROFOR said in
a statement today.
The Bosnians closed their points Friday afternoon, thus
separating the area under their control from the Serb-held
Rajlovac suburb, UNPROFOR spokesman, Pierre Chavancy said.
Sarajevo authorities had explained that it was only a
temporary closure because of fear of an attack from Bosnian
Serbs.
UNHCR often uses the Bosnian-controlled points in its
transport of aid for refugees to Serb-held areas.
Bosnian Serbs told UNHCR Saturday morning that they had
closed the 'Sierra 4' control point, situated between Sarajevo
and the airport, UNHCR spokesman Kris Janowski said.
"It's obviously a retaliatory measure," he said.
