UNHCR SENDS HELP TO BOSNIAN SERBS

BELGRADE, March 24 (Hina) - The UNHCR has sent humanitarian aid to more than 1,000 Serbs who fled before the Bosnian Army's offensive, UNHCR spokesperson in Belgrade, Vesna Grubacic said today. On Monday and Tuesday Serbs fled from their homes in the region of mount Vlasic in order to escape a fierce attack near the Bosnian Army-controlled area of Travnik. On Tuesday UNHCR sent food, mattresses and blankets to Serb refugees in the Serb-controlled town of Skender Vakuf. Another convoy carryng food was expected to leave from Zagreb Friday.
