ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - The House of Representatives today
continued its session, begun last Wednesday.
Nearly all Opposition members moved yesterday that a debate on
the UNPROFOR mandate be included in the agenda.
The motion carried and the agenda was extended to include a
debate on the implementation of the Conclusions of the House of
Representatives of Sept 23, 1994 and Jan 27, 1995, under which
UNPROFOR was to leave Croatia after the expiry of the present
mandate.
Speaker Nedjeljko Mihanovic said that the Foreign Ministry or
his deputy would address the House on this subject on Friday.
The House then discussed a motion to set up an ad-hoc
commission for marking the 50th anniversary of Bleiburg victims,
tabled by HSP (Croatian Party of Rights) Member Ante Dapic and
seconded by several other members.
Tens of thousands of Croatian soldiers and civilians, who had
given themselves up to British forces in Bleiburg, were handed over
to the Yugoslav army and subsequently killed on May 15, 1945, six
days after peace was proclaimed.
