HSP MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT OUT OF DANGER AFTER TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) leaders today held a press conference today after an HSP member of Parliament had been seriously injured in a traffic accident east of Zagreb. Ante Prkacin was admitted to a hospital in Slavonski Brod and his life was out of danger. Boris Kandare said that Prkacin was travelling from Slavonski Brod to Zagreb when his car hit another car which blocked his way. The collision occurred yesterday on a stretch of the Zagreb- Lipovac highway running through a UN protected area. The car Prkacin collided with had Okucani plate numbers. Prkacin refused to be taken to a hospital in Okucani, Kandare said. Okucani is a Serb-held town in UN Sector West. HSP president Anto Djapic said the HSP had serious suspicions that the accident had been a political attempt on Prkacin's life. Djapic added that the car Prkacin had hit was not there by coincidence. "It was placed there for Prkacin to hit it and lose his life." (hina) mm vm 141823 MET mar 95
