A BRIEF LOOK AT CROATIAN PRESS ON MONDAY

ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - Today's VJESNIK and VECERNJI LIST lead with reports on a meeting in Copenhagen between Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and US Vice President Al Gore, and on an agreement in principle on a new mandate for the UN peacekeeping force in Croatia. Both papers carry a speech by President Tudjman at the Copenhagen social summit and include the extensive coverage of talks Tudjman had there. They also report on first international responses to the news on the peacekeeping force in Croatia. The two papers carry front-page articles on a visit to Croatia by Indonesia's President Suharto.
