TUDJMAN RECEIVES DELEGATION FROM BOSNIAN FEDERATION, REPUBLIC

ZAGREB, March 7 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman met a delegation from the Bosnian Federation and the Republic of Bosnia- Herzegovina, the President's Office said last night in a statement. Following is the full text of the statement: "Present were Bosnian Federation President, Kresimir Zubbak, Federation Vice-President Ejup Ganic (who doubles as member of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina), Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic, Croatian Defence Minister Gojko Susak, Croatian army Chief-of-Staff, Gen. Janko Bobetko, Bosnian army Chief-of-Staff, Gen. Rasim Delic, HVO (Croatian Defence Council) Chief-of-Staff, Gen. Tihomir Blaskic, head of the Croatian Information Service, Miroslav Tudjman, head of the President's military cabinet, Col. Gen. Zvonimir Cervenko, the President's special envoy to Geneva, Miomir Zuzul, and Bosnian ambassador to Croatia, Kasim Trnka. The talks focused on the implementation of the Washington Accords - the establishment of the Croat-Moslem Federation and its confederation with Croatia. In the spirit of the Washington Accords and the 1992 Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina, it was agreed that the Bosnain army, the HVO and the Croatian army would cooperate and coordinate their activities. The military commands will make consistent efforts to achieve a peaceful solution to the crisis," the statement said. "The main topic was the implementation of the Washington Accords and we are all in full agreement over that issue," President Tudjman told reporters after the talks. Referring to the establishment of the joint Croatian army and Bosnian Federal army commmand, President Tudjman said it was a sign of cooperation "in the spirit of the general Agreement on Federation and Confederation and the 1992 Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between Croatia and Bosnia." "Croatian state policy is making every effort, especially in view of the end of the UNPROFOR mandate, to reach a peaceful solution to the problem of the occupied areas in Croatia, which would contribute to the peaceful resolution of the crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina," Tudjman said, stressing that these efforts were not directed against any third party. Bosnian Federation President Kresimir Zubak described the setting up of a joint military command as "very important" adding that it was a step toward "reaching a peaceful settlement in Croatia and Bosnia." But if peaceful means were of no avail, the joint command would "promote coordinated operations for the defence against a common enemy." Federal Vice-President Ejup Ganic agreed that the aim of the Croatian-Bosnian military cooperation was "deterring the common aggressor." Commenting on Croatia's decision to end the UNPROFOR mandate, Ganic said Bosnia, too, was considering "possibilities for getting a better mandate." (hina) mm as 071053 MET mar 95
