SARAJEVO, March 4 (Hina) - Fighting in the western Bosnia-
Herzegovina fronts continued. UN Bangladeshi peacekeepers counted
135 detonations in the eastern of the Velika Kladusa front while
56 heavy explosions were recorded around Bihac.
Sever clashes were also registered in the area of Bosanska
Krupa yesterday. UN military observers reported an artillery
exchange that had lasted for 45 minutes.
An UNPROFOR patrol yesterday came under mortar fire in the
vicinity of Bosanska Krupa and was forced to leave the area.
UN High commissioner for refugees in Sarajevo, Kris Janowski,
said the humanitarian situation in western Bosnia-Herzegovina was
deteriorating because rebel Serbs in Croatia were blocking the UN
Bihac-bound food convoy.
"We are now where we were two weeks ago and if the blockage
continues the situation in region will become critical very soon",
Janowski said.
