BOSNIAN SERBS CONTINUE ATTACKS AT LIVNO AND ORASJE FRONTS

MOSTAR, Feb 9 (Hina) - Bosnian Serbs yesterday opened howitzer fire on Croat Defence Council (HVO) positions at the Livno front in southwestern Bosnia, Bosnian Croat defence officials today said in a statement. HVO troops did not return fire and maintained full control of their positions. Sporadic armed provocations were recorded in the Orasje area of northern Bosnia, particularly in the eastern part of the front, the statement said. From their strongholds in Jenjic and Batkusa, Serb forces attacked the villages of Vidovice and Ostra Luka with mortar fire last night. HVO positions were exposed to heavy machinegun and small arms fire. HVO soldiers overnight neutralized a Serb terrorist group in an attempt to cross into the Croat-controlled part of northern Bosnia, the statement said. (Hina) rv vm 091452 MET feb 95
