SARAJEVO, Jan 23 (Hina) - The Bosnian government and Serb
representatives today agreed on opening supply routes to Sarajevo.
The agreement was signed at Sarajevo airport by Bosnian
government minister Hasan Muratovic and speaker of the self-styled
Bosnian Serb parliament Momcilo Krajisnik.
It was reached on the basis of the 17 March 1994 agreement on
the free movement of civilians and transport of all commodities
except military equipment.
UNPROFOR civil sector chief Viktor Andreev said that under the
agreement, "blue routes" to Sarajevo would be opened on February 1.
The Bosnian government used blue routes across Mount Igman as
a link with other government-controlled parts of the country while
Serbs used them for traffic between the Sarajevo districts of
Lukavica and Ilidza via the city's airport.
