CLEVELAND, Jan 11 (Hina) - A White House Conference on Trade and
Investment in Central and Eastern Europe is to take place in
Cleveland on January 12 and 13 under the sponsorship of US Trade
Secretary Ronald Brown.
The aim of the conference is to stimulate economic cooperation
with 14 newly-emerged democracies in Europe, among which are
Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
A 25-member Croatian delegation will be headed by Minister
Zlatko Matesa and Ambassador Petar Sarcevic.
The White House has also invited representatives from major
Croatian-American associations, including the Croatian Fraternal
Union, the Croatian Catholic Society and the National Federation of
American Croats.
US President Bill Clinton is expected to address the
conference on Friday morning.
