WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (Hina) - Croatian Minister Zlatko Matesa,
Foreign Ministerial aide, Davor Stern, and the Croatian Ambassador
to the United States, Petar Sarcevic, on Tuesday held talks in
Washington with Christopher Finn, the executive vice president of
the Overseas Private Investment Cooperation (OPIC) on expanding
cooperation.
The implementation of the Croatian Government stabilization
programme paved the way for investment of private capital, Matesa
said after the talks.
This was why we considered the possibilities for investment of
private capital in Croatia on a larger scale through the OPIC, he
said.
The Croatian officials also met EXIM Bank vice president, Tom
Marana, to discuss the possibilities of establishing credit lines
and sending an EXIM Bank mission to Croatia.
