ZAGREB, Jan 4 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic today
received French Ambassador Albert Turot, who is to head the
European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) for the next six months.
Granic welcomed Turot and expressed his satisfaction with
cooperation between the EUMM and Croatian authorities, a foreign
ministry statement said today.
The forthcoming period would be of great importance to Croatia
both for the reintegration of occupied Croatian territories into
Croatia's constitutional and legal system and for the country's
ultimate inclusion in European integration, Granic said.
Granic informed Turot of the talks between the Croatian
Government and UNPA Serb representatives, pointing out that Croatia
was not satisfied with current implementation of the Economic
Agreement.
Granic also emphasized that the quality of the implementation
of the agreement would have consequences on the decision on whether
or not to extend the UNPROFOR mandate in Croatia.
Croatia welcomed both the agreement on ending hostilities and
continued talks on the peaceful resolution to the Bosnian crisis.
But at the same time Croatia insisted on resolving the problem of
reintegrating its occupied territories, Granic concluded.
