MOSTAR, Jan 2 (Hina) - Bosnian Croats today in Mostar signed the
four-month cessation of fire and hostilities agreement.
The agreement was signed by the president of the Bosnia-
Herzegovina Federation and the Presidential Council of Herzeg-
Bosnia, Kresimir Zubak, Herzeg-Bosnia defence minister Vladimir
Soljic, and UNPROFOR commander Lt. Gen. Michael Rose.
On Saturday, the agreement was also signed by the Bosnian
Government and Bosnian Serb representatives.
Zubak said that at his demand, he and Rose signed a special
annexe to the agreement on ending the ethnic cleansing and forced
mobilisation of Croats and Moslems in areas under Serb control.
Asked how UNPROFOR intended to supervise the implementation of
the agreement, Rose said that UNPROFOR would, where possible, bring
in reinforcements from outside Bosnia.
He also announced confidence building measures that would be
taken to ensure that war did not return to this suffering country.
