MOSTAR, Dec 17 (Hina) - The head of the OSCE regional office in
Mostar, General Wolfgang Odenhal, met mayor Ivan Prskalo on
Tuesday for talks on the protection of human rights and
prevention of forcible apartment evictions.
The two officials said after the meeting that they agreed
that everything should be done to put a stop to apartment
evictions in the city.
Odenhal expressed concern over human rights violations in
Mostar, stressing that the situation was getting out of hand. He
said that 73 eviction cases had been registered in the city this
year.
Odenhal noted that expulsions were not happening only in
Mostar but also in other towns controlled by rival ethnic groups.
