BIOGRAPHIES OF NEWLY ELECTED MINISTERS

ZAGREB, Dec 16 (Hina) - Zlatko Dominikovic, the newly elected Agriculture and Forestry Minister, was the director of the agricultural and processing industry PIK Vrbovec. He was born in Kalinovac, Djurdjevac municipality in 1947. He is of Croat nationality. He graduated from the Agronomist Faculty and earned a masters degree in 1988. Dominikovic has been a member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) since 1992. He is married and has two children. The newly elected Privatization Minister Milan Kovac was born in Posusje (Bosnia-Herzegovina) on 15 July 1953. He graduated at the Zagreb Faculty of Economy in 1978. He was one of the participants of the initiation for the establishment of the HDZ. At the first multi-party elections, Kovac was chosen as member of Parliament and again in elections in 1992 and 1995. He was appointed president of the Croatian Privatization Fund in 1995. He is married and has three children. Ivan Penic, the newly elected Interior Minister, was born in Krasic near Zagreb on 12 November 1954. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy. At the first multi- party elections, he was elected as member of Parliament. He was appointed as president of the Croatian Privatization Fund in April 1993 and Privatization Minister on 27 January 1995. He is a member of the HDZ. He is married and has three children. The newly elected Urban Development, Construction and Housing Minister, Marko Sirac, was born in the village of Prekopakra, Pakrac municipality on 9 January 1939. He earned a masters degree at the Zagreb Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1982. He was director of the Water Recourses Management from 1992 and was director of the State Water Supply Administration from October 1994. He is a member of the HDZ. He is married and has two children.
