director, Janja Celekovic, on Sunday visited the national reserves of Kopacki rit and Tikves, eastern Slavonia. Before visiting the reserves, the Croatian representatives visited the village of Bilje, where they met local Serb representatives, who were led by Vaso Zigic. The two sides discussed the future of tourism in eastern Slavonia.
OSIJEK, 15 Dec (Hina) - Deputy Tourism Minister Marijan Bulat, the
head of the Osijek County Tourist Association and head of the
committee for the reintegration of economy, Drago Ruzic, and the
Beli Manastir Tourist Association director, Janja Celekovic, on
Sunday visited the national reserves of Kopacki rit and Tikves,
eastern Slavonia.
Before visiting the reserves, the Croatian representatives
visited the village of Bilje, where they met local Serb
representatives, who were led by Vaso Zigic. The two sides

In an interview with the Croatian new agency Hina, Drago Ruzic
said that the talks had been very useful and stressed that the Serb
side was expected to cooperate in making promotional tourist
literature for the season 1997/98.
According to Ruzic, a local Serb delegation is expected to
arrive in Osijek in two days for talks with representatives of the
Osijek Tourist Association.
'The Tikves castle is devastated, but it could be
reconstructed very soon', Ruzic said, adding that no wild animals
had been spotted during the visit.
