LONDON, Dec 5 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic met
his Russian counterpart Yevgeni Primakov in London on Thursday
where they were attending a conference on the peace process in
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The two ministers discussed the peaceful reintegration of
the UN-administered Danube river region into Croatia, stressing
the importance of Tuesday's visit to Vukovar by Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman, sources close to the Croatian
delegation said.
Russia confirmed its interest in a balanced involvement in
the area of former Yugoslavia, and both countries supported the
implementation of the Dayton and Washington agreements in Bosnia-
Herzegovina. They said that attention should be paid to relations
between the two entities and their relations with the central
government.
Granic and Primakov said that the current political
relations between the two countries enabled further improvement
of economic and political cooperation.
Primakov accepted Granic's invitation to visit Croatia next
year.
