The session heard reports by task groups and adopted a plan of
activities for the next year.
Mocibob reported on the work of the Urban Planning and
Environmental Protection Commission, which he chairs.
The plenary session supported a Resolution for a Democratic
and Solidary Europe, adopted by the European Parliament on October
3, 1996. The Resolution envisages a future extension of the
European Union and the corresponding adjustments that non-members
needed to carry out.
Croatia believed the Resolution would strengthen inter-
regional cooperation and support the process of forging closer ties
between non-member countries and the European Union, Croatian
representatives said.
Before the session, the Croatian delegation was received by
Slovenian President Milan Kucan.
Mocibob also discussed economic cooperation with Alberto
Guglielo, minister of commerce of the Italian province of
Lombardia.
