The Bosnia-Herzegovina Civil-Aviation Management and IFOR
estimated that the last 600 metres of the south-east section of the
runway, which is two kilometres long, could not be used until the
damage is repaired.
Haselock said that aircraft for the use of IFOR would continue
to land on the airstrip, as well as most types of civil aircraft.
The damaged tunnel was built in 1993.
The other tunnel, which is much wider and was completed near
the end of the war is in good shape.
