Agreement on the rights of minorities signed between Croatia and Italy.
STRASBOURG, Nov 7 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
held talks with his Slovene counterpart Davorin Kracun in
Strasbourg on Thursday.
The talks focused on current issues in relations between
Croatia and Slovenia and the Agreement on the rights of minorities
signed between Croatia and Italy. #L#
"The agreement does not implicate any commitments for
Slovenia," Granic stressed after the talks, and added that the
agreement had been hailed by the Council of Europe.
The talks also discussed the issue of the "Krsko" nuclear
power plant and about issues of borders between Slovenia and
Croatia.
"We will work on the drafting of the agreements intensively
and an agreement on the Krsko nuclear power plant and an agreement
on property issues are expected be ready for initialing by the end
of the year," Granic stressed.
He added that Croatia was interested to reach an agreement
with Slovenia on the issue of Ljubljanska banka as soon as
possible, after elections and the forming of the new Slovene
government.
