ZAGREB, 7 Nov (Hina) - The Croatian Government on Thursday started
a session on the results of Government activities in the past year
and its tasks in the coming period.
Greeting the present at the session, President Franjo Tudjman,
who is chairing the session, congratulated Premier Zlatko Matesa
and other members of the Government on their achievements in the
past year.
'All achievements of the Government are not sufficiently
present either in the Croatian public or abroad and we have to make
them more present despite all those who are denying those
achievements', Tudjman said.
'In the past year, there was complete agreement between
Premier Matesa and me, and we were in no disagreement over any
important issue', Tudjman said, adding the Government was
completely independent in its actions.
'This is a capable government which has adopted all positive
achievements of former governments. You have had better conditions,
but you have also shown your capability. Do continue to implement
the state policy which is based on the program of the Croatian
Democratic Union and which is in the interest of the establishment
of the Croatian state as a welfare state', Tudjman told the
Government members.
