MOSTAR, Oct 30 (Hina) - A group of 19 senators, members of the
Spanish Senate's commission for defence, wound up a four-day visit
to Spanish IFOR bases in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and returned to Spain
on Tuesday night.
A spokesman for the Spanish brigade at Medjugorje (southern
Bosnia-Herzegovina), Ramon Alavarez, said the senators had visited
Spanish troops serving with the NATO-led IFOR in Mostar, Stolac,
Nevesinje and Trebinje and toured the Spanish headquarters at
Medjugorje and the Sector South-East headquarters of IFOR
multinational division near Mostar.
They held talks with the E.U. special envoy in Mostar, Martin
Garrod, and local authorities in the above-mentioned Bosnian towns.
