Speaking at a press conference in Sarajevo on Tuesday, Murphy
said that Bildt's office had been informed more than a month ago
that the former commander of the Omarska concentration camp, Zeljko
Meakic, and guards Mladen Radic and Miroslav Kvocka, were police
officers in Prijedor.
"Efforts are being made to remove these people from their
present positions and their documentation will be sent to The
Hague", Murphy said.
However, IFOR and international police spokesmen, Simon
Haselock and Patrick Swenson, said they did not know that the three
war crime suspects were members of Prijedor police forces.
