An hour before this incident, four masked persons had thrown
an explosive device on a former health clinic's parking lot, Radic
said.
Machine gun fire from the east part of Mostar had been opened
at a Franciscan monastery (west part of Mostar) at 23.15 hours on
Monday and half an hour after midnight an explosive device had been
thrown on a bakery near the Franciscan monastery, Radic said.
A vehicle in the Moslem neighbourhood of Donja Mahala in
Mostar had been stoned at 19.00 hours on Monday and there had been
attempts of passage from the east to the Croat-held west part of
Mostar, which had been accompanied by machine gun fire, he said.
Radic recalled that a house near the Franciscan monastery in
the west part of Mostar had been destroyed by mines on Sunday
night, adding that the investigation of the case was under way.
"I do not know what these people want, whether they want
another war in this region," Radic told reporters.
