U.S. ARMS SHIPMENT FOR BOSNIA STILL IN CROATIAN PORT

PLOCE, Oct 25 (Hina) - A large shipment of US military hardware intended for the Bosnian Moslem-Croat Federation army was still aboard the American Condor ship in the southern Croatian Adriatic port of Ploce on Friday. The shipment, which arrived from the United States on Thursday as part of the Train and Equip programme, included several dozen tanks, armoured personnel carriers, small arms and ammunition, and other equipment weighing about 8,200 tons. It was uncertain when the unloading of the cargo would begin. "We're not interested in reasons for suspension of the unloading. We are just business partners providing harbour services and are ready, at the request of our partner, to unload and store the goods under commercial conditions," Ploce port authorities said.
