CRO GOVERNMENT TO RECONSTRUCT MONUMENTS IN VUKOVAR

VINKOVCI, Oct 8 (Hina) - The committee for reconstruction of listed monuments and cultural heritage of the city of Vukovar held the first session in Vinkovci in Tuesday under the chairmanship of Croatia's culture minister Bonzo Biskupic. Present at the session were also Vukovar-Srijem County heads. The Culture Ministry had drawn up a programme for the reconstruction of Vukovar and the return of cultural heritage stolen by aggressors and taken away to Novi Sad and Belgrade, Serbia, a Culture Minister aide Branka Sulc told the session. The Vukovar Museum Director in exile, Ruzica Maric, said some of almost 50,000 exhibits had been saved.
