The Pliva president Zeljko Covic told Tudjman that the
cooperation between the Pliva and Pfizer companies had been lasting
for ten years and it could serve as a model for cooperation between
other Croatian and US firms.
The Pfizer managing director William Steere said the relations
of the two companies were excellent on the field of development and
marketing and they were being broadened by the concerted effort
aimed at joint appearance at third markets.
President Tudjman said Croatia and USA had established
friendly relations and a partnership on the political and
diplomatic field as well as in the military area, and added that
his country would like to have such relations with USA in economy
as they were between the two pharmaceutical companies.
