ZAGREB, 4 Oct (Hina) - Croatia welcomes the talks between Bosnian
President Alija Izetbegovic and Yugoslav President Slobodan
Milosevic on the normalisation of relations between the two

Croatian Foreign Ministry said Friday. #L#
Croatia expected that the normalisation of relations and the
establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries
would contribute to the strengthening of new state institutions and
general authority structures in Bosnia-Herzegovina on the bases of
the Dayton and Washington agreements. Croatia would develop good
neighbourly relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina and support the
strengthening of relations between Croat and Bosniac peoples, in
the interest of peace, stability and development in the region and
in line with the Dayton and Washington agreements. It would also
continue to strengthen political and economic ties with the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Croatia expected that the agreement on the normalisation of
relations between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Yugoslavia would
contribute to the establishment of new relations based on equality
between former Yugoslav states and remove all initiatives aimed at
creating artificial political structures in the region.
Croatia welcomed the involvement of the international
community in the consolidation of conditions in Bosnia-Herzegovina
after the elections and in the establishment of new institutions of
central government and governments of the two entities, the
Ministry's statement said.
