Political relations between Croatia and Albania were on the
rise and there were no open questions, Matesa said.
'The most important thing for Croatia is that there is
agreement about certain tendencies toward the creation of some new
South-Slavic or Balkan federations, which is unacceptable both for
Albania and Croatia', Matesa said.
The Croatian oil company INA and the Albanian oil company
'Albapetrol' signed a very valuable contract on a new concession
field, Matesa said, adding that there were great possibilities for
overall economic cooperation.
However, Croatian companies were not present enough on the
Albanian market, Matesa added.
The Albanian aide showed great interest in cooperation in the
fields of tourism, power industry, engineering and food industry,
but Croatian companies would have to be more active in the future
in order to win their place on this new but very dynamic market,
Matesa said.
