ZAGREB, Sept 24 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Tuesday opened a session of the Presidential Council on the state
and prospects of Croatian tourism.

business sectors because "it integrates production and export
elements of the economy."
"Croatia has achieved substantial results in the tourist
industry this year, but they are still below its possibilities,"
he said.
The President said that tourist revenues could double and even
triple in the coming years but that it was necessary to remove
all drawbacks.
Attending the session were representatives of the parliamentary
Economic Affairs Committee, the Government, county prefects, the
Chamber of Commerce, the Tourist Association and the Association
of Hoteliers.

Borislav Skegro, Tourism Minister Niko Bulic, Privatization
Minister Ivan Penic, National Bank Governor Marko Skreb and
