The Committee asked that the UNTAES implement elections for
local bodies of power by December 15, 1996, in line with the
Croatian legislature, and that Croatian state authorities
immediately begin preparations for the implementation of the
elections, on the basis of the 1991 census.
The Committee proposed to the Croatian President that he take
necessary steps to fulfill elements of the resolution.
President of the Committee for the Constitution Vladimir Seks
suggested that the Parliament adopt the resolution by consensus of
all parties represented in the Parliament, which was supported by
all Committee members.
