Pavletic on Wednesday received a delegation of the Croatian
Displaced Persons' Association headed by Mato Simic, a statement
from Pavletic's Office said. #L#
The delegation asked that the Parliament endorse the decisions
from their meeting and that it issues a resolution.
Pavletic said he carefully observed the problems of displaced
persons and supported their requests, especially their request that
the UNTAES mandate not be extended and that the elections take
place in accordane with the 1991 census only for voters with the
certificate of Croatian citizenship.
The delegation suggested that the Amnesty Act be removed from
the Parliament session agenda, that access be enabled to Ovcara
where victims were being exhumed and that a state committee for the
implementation of laws and acceleration of reconstruction be
established.
Pavletic accepted an invitation to participate at the 4th
conference of the Displaced Persons' association which is to take
place on October 12.
