ZAGREB/SIBENIK, 17 Sept (Hina/IKA) - Sibenik Bishop and Vice President of the Croatian Bishops' Conference (HBK), Srecko Badurina, died this morning in the Sisters of Mercy hospital in Zagreb, the Catholic Information Agency (IKA)
reported. Badurina suffered a heart attack on Saturday, 14 September, while he was conducting a religious service in Ogulin, 100 km south-west of Zagreb. He was immediately admitted to an Ogulin hospital and later transported to Zagreb.

Bishop Badurina was born on 12 May, 1930, in Lun on the island
of Pag. He studied theology in Split and specialized in moral
theology in Rome. He took his doctor's degree in moral theology at
Zagreb Catholic Theological Faculty.
Bishop Badurina took holy orders on 29 June, 1955 and was
appointed Sibenik Bishop on 4 December, 1987.
