DUBROVNIK, Sept 7 (Hina) - The American government will participate in providing instantaneous help amounting to 25,000 dollars to the Dubrovnik area which was hit by an earthquake on Thursday evening. The money would be set aside
from the U.S. Embassy fund, U.S. Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith said on Saturday after he had visited the area in the morning.
DUBROVNIK, Sept 7 (Hina) - The American government will participate
in providing instantaneous help amounting to 25,000 dollars to the
Dubrovnik area which was hit by an earthquake on Thursday evening.
The money would be set aside from the U.S. Embassy fund, U.S.
Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith said on Saturday after he had

We would also consider the possibility of further aid which
would be sent after an account of the situation on the field. We
would also influence the international community to take part in
providing assistance in the region, Galbraith said.
Accompanied by the Dubrovnik County prefect, Jura Buric and
other county and town officials, Galbraith visited Ston, Slano and
other locations around Dubrovnik which had been damaged by the
quake.
