ZAGREB, Sept 6 (Hina) - After receiving the news on an earthquake
in the southern Croatian Dubrovnik area, the Slovenian
Administration for Protection and Rescuing offered to help in
rescuing people and property, the public relations office of the
Croatian Interior Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
In a phone call to the head of the Croatian Civil Protection
Department, Damir Cemerin, the manager of the Slovenian
Administration for Protection and Rescuing, Bojan Usenicnik,
offered help in the emergency rescue of people and property and
special rescue teams with dogs for the search of trapped persons.
Cemerin expressed gratitude for the help offer, currently
estimated as unnecessary, and told Usenicnik that there were no
totally destroyed buildings or trapped persons in the earthquake-
struck area.
Usenicnik pointed out that the help offer remained valid, the
statement concluded.
