PLITVICE, Sept 2 (Hina) - More than 220,000 tourists visited the
Plitvice Lakes National Park, a wooded area about 100 km south of
Zagreb, liberated in the summer of 1995, during last year, the
National Park Administration said on Monday.
In August 1996, the 140-bed Bellevue Hotel was visited by
5,715 tourists, including Italians, Germans and Austrians, and a
good visit, in particular of people spending their holidays on the
Adriatic coast, was expected this month too.
A brochure on the Plitvice Lakes National Park is included in
the promotion plans for the 1997 tourist season.
